In January 2025, Battle Worn Restorations sold a 2012 AM General M1167 REV Heavy Variant on Bring a Trailer for $122,222 — the highest price ever paid for a non-armored Humvee at public auction. It wasn't luck. It was the result of doing the work right.
Battle Worn Restorations is a specialty shop in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire focused exclusively on military HMMWV restoration, sales, and custom parts fabrication.
We do frame-off restorations — full teardowns, mechanical rebuilds, electrical overhauls, and custom finishes. Every system gets addressed, documented, and tested before a vehicle leaves our shop.
We also fabricate custom parts in-house when what's available isn't good enough. If it needs to be built, we build it.
Richard has been working on military vehicles for years. He sources vehicles, manages restorations, and handles every build from acquisition to final sale.
Our in-house diesel mechanic handles all engine work, transmission rebuilds, and drivetrain overhauls. Every mechanical system is rebuilt to spec.
When parts aren't available or aren't good enough, our parts specialist fabricates them in-house using military-spec materials and processes.
Our 5,000 square foot shop in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire is equipped for full military vehicle restorations — frame lifts, paint booths, fabrication equipment, and full diagnostic tooling. Everything under one roof, done by our team.
