Battle Worn Restorations is based in the Lakes Region of Central New Hampshire, where we specialize in the full restoration, customization, and sale of military HMMWVs. What started five years ago as a personal obsession has grown into a serious operation — with a 5,000 sq/ft fully equipped shop and a track record that speaks for itself.

In January 2025, one of our builds — a 2012 AM General M1167 HMMWV — sold on Bring a Trailer for $122,222, setting the record for the highest price ever achieved for a (non-armored) Humvee at public auction.

Our Facility Our 5,000 sq/ft shop is fully equipped for everything these vehicles demand — a 12,000 lb lift, dedicated paint booth, and specialized HMMWV tooling. We have a small but highly skilled team: a diesel mechanic and a parts specialist who share the same obsession for getting these machines right.

Why HMMWVs? These vehicles are unlike anything else on the road. They're built to be worked on — bolted and riveted together, no welding required. Every panel, every component is designed to be removed, replaced, and upgraded. For someone who grew up loving machines but didn't come from a bodyshop background, the HMMWV was a revelation. It rewards patience, precision, and passion — not just credentials.

Our Story Originally from France, I immigrated to the United States in 1985. Like a lot of people who chose this country, I fell hard for things that are uniquely American — and it doesn't get more American than a military Humvee. Owning one was a dream for a long time. Building them became something much bigger.

Today, Battle Worn Restorations isn't a hobby anymore. Every build we take on gets the same uncompromising attention — whether it's a full ground-up restoration or a commission build to your exact specifications. We don't cut corners. We don't rush. We build machines that last.
